Brides by Sonia Castleberry (BBSC), founded by Brooklyn native Sonia Castleberry in 2011, is a leading bridal beauty company with more than a decade of experience under its belt. Sonia's passion for beauty began at an early age while growing up in her family's salon. After becoming a licensed cosmetologist and certified within multiple areas of the beauty industry, she became a well-recognized beauty artist throughout the television, film, and fashion industries.
Sonia's work has appeared in several publications both nationally and internationally. Her industry knowledge and work ethic have garnered her opportunities to contribute to major broadcasting networks, brands as well as feature films.
Sonia helped pilot Kitchen Sink Beauty entrepreneurial academy, an Entrepreneurial program for young Teen girls of color who are aspiring to start their businesses and launch a beauty product line. Kitchen Sink Beauty is a subsidiary of Black Girls Cook, Inc. In addition to coaching young teen girls, Sonia is the owner of Body Language Spa Academy a comprehensive online training program designed for aspiring and existing beauty artists.
Now Sonia travels nationwide and internationally with her BBSC team on-site to her client’s location to provide flawless makeup and glamorous hair for their special occasion.
